Superlatives

Teacher's notes

  1. After you have taught superlatives in class, hold a quiz.
  2. Put the students into two teams.
  3. Ask the questions below and awards points for the team which shouts out the first correct answer.
  4. At the end of the quiz, give the questions to the students and get them to underline the superlatives in the questions.
  5. Then ask the students, in pairs, to write two more questions which use superlatives.
  6. Collect the questions in, correct them and then hold a second quiz but this time using the students' questions.
  7. Make sure that they have the correct answers.

12. What is the deepest point in the Earth's crust? The Mariana Trench, off Guam in the Pacific ocean.
